This pie recipe I have worked with over the last three years in order to make it yummy and simple. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does.
Ingredients
- 5 or 6 cups Cherry Hill Pie cherries, pitted
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 Tablespoon tapioca
- 1 Tablespoon floor
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 prepared pie crusts - top and bottom
Directions
Combine the first four ingredients. Place the bottom crust in pie plate and pour in pie filling. Then cover with top pie crust, seal edge, flute and cut a few slits in several places. Bake at 400 F for 35 to 45 minutes or until crust is golden brown and filing is bubbly.
I like to cover the the crust edge with foil until the last 10 or 15 minuets of the baking time. I also like to brush on a little milk on the top crust and then sprinkle a little sugar. This will give your pie a golden color when you pull it out of the oven :) Enjoy!!!
